William Herr
Bill Herr is the founder of and director of investment for Trader Wealth Management, LLC. Bill is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner and a membership interest holder at the Chicago Board of Trade. He has been an active options trader at the CBOT for 18 years and has over 23 years of broad-based financial, investing and tax planning experience that includes three years in the financial services division with the accounting firm of KPMG Peat Marwick.
Bill is a former associate and founding partner of Herr Capital Management where he specialized in providing portfolio allocation and management, among other financial services, for high net-worth individuals. Prior to co-creating Herr Capital Management, LLC, Bill spent ten years as an independent tax and financial consultant for Chicago Financial Exchange members and member firms. He has focused on implementing a multi-strategy investment approach which provides for superior, risk-adjusted, after-tax investment returns in the long term while reducing volatility and loss of capital in the short term. Bill's expertise in risk management has been the cornerstone of the success in both his investment decisions for clients and his personal options trading.
Bill has shared this broad based experience on various media outlets, including CBS television, Boomer Market Advisor, and the prestigious Journal of Financial Planning.
Bill graduated, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Accounting. He continued his education by completing financial-related curriculum at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, DePaul University's Master of Tax Science Program and the College of Financial Planning.
Bill currently lives in Lake Barrington, IL with his wife, Shelly Herr and two children, Justin and Michayla.
Terry Burke
Terry Burke, Chief Operating Officer brings a wealth of experience in the option trading and technology fields and will put his talent to work to integrate our platforms and offer enhanced, timely service to our clients.
Terry has been an active option trader and offers 15 years of experience trading equity, commodity and interest rates options at the CBOT, CME and CBOE. Terry also brings startup and technology experience as Chief Operating Officer at IOCOM, a software development company, where he led cross functional teams in software development, customer support, accounting and operations. Terry is the co-inventor of two US patents on data analysis comparing PSTN to VoIP traffic flows.
Terry graduated, magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois at Urban-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. He currently lives in Evergreen Park, IL with his wife Kelly and their three children Emily, Jack and Caroline.
